Evidence Group is an agricultural data and supply chain consultancy firm based in Penrith, Cumbria. We offer consultancy services direct to farmers, the food supply chain and industry professionals, including the annual TotalDairy Seminar, an industry leading technical event. Evidence Group also run Barbican Animal Health, a dairy feed product company offering bespoke formulations to improve animal health. Following a merger with Map of Agriculture at the end of 2018, we're now expanding our team to accelerate the development and integration of our products.

Account Coordinator

Location: Penrith, Cumbria
Salary: £22,000-£25,000 (depending on experience)
Hours: Full time

To help meet a growing demand for work in the Food Supply Chain and Knowledge Exchange areas of the business, Evidence Group are looking to recruit an Account Coordinator. The role will be based at their Penrith office, but will involve occasional travel to meet clients and industry stakeholders.

The day to day activities this role will involve include:

  • Project management of key services for food supply chain clients, working with veterinary, data and administrative colleagues to deliver projects in a timely and high-quality manner
  • Maintaining a good relationship with farmers to help ensure they meet client data requirements & welfare standards. This includes supporting them with advice and answering their questions
  • Responding to client requests in a timely manner, which often require clear recommendations to be made based on feedback from veterinary and data colleagues
  • Managing relationships with Knowledge Exchange stakeholders, to ensure events for industry professionals and farmers are hosted successfully and attendees are satisfied
  • Key point of contact for sponsors of the annual TotalDairy conference, supporting them with their sponsorship package to maximise their experience before, during and after the event

Key Skills

The following skills would be required for this role:

  • Experience within the agriculture sector is essential, ideally being used to working closely with farmers on a regular basis
  • Excellent communication skills and able to liaise with a variety of colleagues and stakeholders, including event sponsors, retail & food processor managers, farmers, vets, and IT developers
  • Good attention to detail, minimising the chances of errors with event booking systems and client databases
  • Proficient with basic Microsoft programs including Word and Excel
  • Able to work independently ideally with experience of making timely decisions in a high-pressure environment
  • Adaptable and able to work across different clients and projects on a constant basis

Backend PHP Web/API Developer

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Backend Developer to join our team. Your focus will be on designing and implementing services and infrastructure to power our web applications.
